Would you like some stress free living
Why you should consider moving to Freemen's Holt?

Would you like some stress free living

How many of your neighbours do you currently know? Would you like to live as part of a thriving community? Are you or your wife of state retirement age, if yes then why not consider living at Freemen’s Holt.

It’s independent living without stress. You can live in a safe, secure environment without unwanted sales people calling at your door, no noisy neighbours or threatening youths hanging around.

What do you do if a boiler breaks down, or a pipe bursts? If your fence blows down or you have an electrical problem, who do you call? This is not a problem at Freemen’s Holt as the Deputies will arrange for their experienced tradesmen to undertake repairs, at no cost to the resident.

If you are unwell or if you have a wife or husband who is ill and need someone to turn to you are never alone. You can contact someone at the end of a button as there is 24/7 cover that you can call for. Not an answer machine but an actual person. Any emergency will be dealt with at any time of the day or night.

The properties and estate are maintained to a very high level. The bungalows are light and airy and are freshly painted ready for you to move in. Wet rooms are installed for your safety and ease of use. The bungalows are very easy to keep clean with no stairs to cope with. Residents are only responsible for the internal decoration on an ongoing basis as all maintenance is provided by the estate.

You have your own patio area and garden at the front of each bungalow to do with as much or as little as you want but there are also beautiful grounds which you can enjoy without having any of the hard work maintaining them.

If you go away there is always someone around to keep an eye on your bungalow to ensure that any problems are dealt with or deliveries can be received even during your absence.

There is a single monthly maintenance cost of £130 for a single bedroom bungalow or £182 for a two bedroom property (this cost may be covered by the local council if the resident is on pension credit or other benefit). For this monthly payment the estate provides buildings insurance, full bungalow maintenance, water rates, window cleaning and 24/7 alarm monitoring by the employees of the estate during working hours and the Leicester Housing out of office hours. There is also a laundry room on site with two driers for use by residents.

There are three twin rooms available above the office (for a nominal fee) that can be used by friends or family who come to visit. The community centre is also available for a family get together or celebration as you wish.

A new workshop has been erected for use by residents and there are allotments for the keen gardeners.

There are also a variety of social activities held at the Holt including lunches, card making, crafts and exercise classes, games evenings, coffee mornings and other ad hoc activities and events. Transport is provided via the local council and is available for people with mobility problems to provide visits to the library, Fosse Park, Beaumont Leys, and the town centre on a regular basis.

It can bring peace of mind for relatives to have your loved ones in a safe environment, where they can enjoy life but remain independent. Talk it over together.

If you would like more information you can come for a chat and a look around the Holt with no obligation, just call the office to arrange a suitable time. Why not come and enjoy life at Freemen’s Holt. Call Lynda Bramley at the office 0116 283 4017 for more information.
