M Ayres receives a gift from the Board for 31 years service as a Deputy

Following 31 years service on the Board as a Deputy Michael Ayres retired in March 2009.

In recognition of his service on the Board, Chairman Paul Ross presented a gift from the Board to Mick at the Chairmans' Trophy celebration in July 2009.

Mick and his new bride Jean chose a limited edition print of Bradgate Park painted by a local artist. It is quite stunning and it is hoped that it will give great pleasure to the happy couple for many years to come.

Thank you Mick for your many years of service

Maurice Hill presenting Gordon Johnosn with a present from the Board of Deputies for completing 50 years on the Board

Gordon Johnson joined the Board of Deputies in 1957 and completed in 2007 a staggering 50 years as a deputy.

In recognition of this dedication, the current Chairman, Maurice Hill presents Gordon with a set of six, lead crystal wine glasses and a decanter to mark the occasion.

A memorable day when the deputies and residents come together to pay tribute to the dedication of Gordon for 50 years service on the Board of Deputies.

Sadly Gordon Johnson died during January 2008 following a long illness. We will remember him with fondness and gratitude for his service to the Charity.
